Der Lange Stein [The Long Stone] in Kirchhain-Langenstein northeast
of Marburg would by the logic of its location represent the stars
below Ursa Major in the area we know assign approximately to Leo
Minor. This 5-meter tall megalith – originally 6.5 meters and thus
surely sharper-edged at the top before being struck by lightning and
thus made shorter - has a "dagger" shape, corresponding to the
dagger placed at this position of the sky at Stonehenge, for
example. The stone has the same shape given to these stars by the
modern astronomy program Starry Night Pro.
