Many a megalith and dolmen as well as some unexpected megalithic
sites are found in the Moselle River Valley and the Hunsrück from
Trier to Koblenz, for this was the route taken by the Magdelenians
between France and Germany. The megalith of Trittenheim marks
Regulus in Leo in the ancient geodetic survey of Germanic territory.
Hunsrück was very anciently "Hundesrucha", the "back of the dog",
which we think was later marked by Leo the lion in the heavens.
